Plant Health Care Plc inks exclusivity deal with key distributor for Harpin α

“This agreement with Agrii reflects our joint confidence in the growth of ProAct sales in the UK, especially as UK farming drives towards increased sustainability.”

() has landed a new distribution agreement with Agrii, described as a leading distributor in the UK, which gains exclusive access to the company’s biostimulant, Harpin α, in all crops in the UK.

The company said that Harpin α has exceptional grower benefits for those in the UK, particularly in the amenity (turf) market and in potatoes. It has been sold on a small scale in the UK previously, under the ProAct brand name.

Harpin α works by triggering the plant’s own self defense systems and results in improved crop quality, nutrient use efficiency, tolerance to abiotic stress. Ultimately that also means that it increases the marketable crop yield.

“This agreement with Agrii reflects our joint confidence in the growth of ProAct sales in the UK, especially as UK farming drives towards increased sustainability,” said chief operating officer Jeff Tweedy.

“We expect to see greater demand for biological solutions in the UK and it is exciting that this distribution agreement will mean more growers can access the yield improvement and sustainability benefits  ProAct®  offers.

“This new agreement is also an important step towards building a stronger presence for Plant Health Care in Europe, which is the world’s largest market for sustainable agriculture.”
